First General Order. I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved.

Second General Order. I will obey my special orders and perform all my duties in a military manner.

Ship Day.

He shipped out early this morning & he called me right before he headed off the the airport. He texted me until he boarded his first flight to Texas. I’ve been keeping it together pretty well. His last phone calls and text messages have given me strength to be strong. It’s a way I know he’s doing well because he is my strength no matter the distance that’s between us. I can’t wait to see him in July. <3

Friendships change

Friendships change; sometimes for the better & sometimes for the worst. In my case, I feel like the friendship is lost. There is so much distance and little to no communication. It’s a two-way street but I’m the only one on it. I am not sure if I’m being selfish or not understanding but I have already put how I felt out there and the reaction I get out of it is how I’ve been feeling does not matter. It hurts my feelings because I confided in this friend and has helped me through so many rough times in my life. Then we took new direction in each of our lives and I feel like this friend lost touch and is no longer present as they use to be in my life.

Now, I feel like there’s a new circle of friends and our friendship is no longer as valued as others. I planned a mini-vacay to Las Vegas to get my mind off the fact that my boyfriend left to Fort Benning, Georgia for Basic Combat Training — US Army. In addition to that, it will be the last trip I will be taking with my friends before I leave for my Basic Combat Training & I’ve told my friends about my plan in life so I’m hoping that all can make the trip. Unfortunately, I feel like there is no effort put in to even try to come and no communication or response every time I address it. I am to the point where, I will no longer waste my time for someone who makes me feel that I no longer have value in their lives.

Although, I’ve had an amazing friend who has been by my side literally through hell and back and I appreciate everything she has done for me especially her support, guidance, advice, and has never judged my decisions. I’m truly blessed to have a true friend like her because true friends are hard to find and even though I feel like I lost one; at least I still have one!
